Ashley S. Lantz

Welcome to my world of colors and creativity! I'm Ashley Lantz, an artist, mother, military veteran, and Rollins College graduate on a passionate journey of self-expression and healing through art.

From the tender age, around 4 or 5, I was irresistibly drawn to colors and everything that could create them. I would lose myself in crayons until they disappeared, and then I discovered colored pencils. I would use them until they would get too small to hold. Art was already beckoning me, and I was listening intently.

Growing up, I was surrounded by creativity. My grandfather was always painting, building, and creating. I have a very talented mother and aunt whose artistic prowess inspired me. My mother finds creativity in everyday items, while my aunt is still a talented sketch artist/painter. We still bounce ideas off each other. Art felt like home–where I could translate my thoughts, emotions, and views into vibrant, visual expression.

After years of military service, where I learned discipline, dedication, attention to detail, and teamwork, I transitioned into young adulthood. My thirst for adventure, travel, and experiencing life took me on exciting journeys. I discovered the complexities of love and the profound beauty of the world. And then came motherhood, where I encountered the purest form of love imaginable. Life got busier, but amidst the whirlwind, one thing remained steadfast—my love for ART!

Over the years, I've explored many artistic mediums, including oil, acrylic, tempera, gouache, and watercolor paints. I've wielded chalk, pastels, pencils, and clay and even harnessed the beauty of nature in my creations. My artistic journey has led me to continuously explore new mediums, driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a passion for learning. I am proud to be a Rollins graduate, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Communication and a minor in Studio Art. These experiences have enriched my perspective, adding depth and insight to my artistic journey.
